Although my collegiate experience was exclusively in classroom education, I've worked in the area of computer technology for nearly all of my professional career. When we moved to Columbus in 1993, the NE Legislature had just passed LB 452, which mandated that Nebraska Service Units provide Internet access to all K-12 schools in Nebraska. As a result of this legislation, I was hired as a Telecommunications Coordinator for ESU 7. This position allowed me to become one of the original trainers for teachers on the Information Superhighway! (Aren't you glad we don't call it that anymore?)
Since joining Computing Services in 2004, I helped start the LPS technology Helpdesk which was a fun and challenging way to start my career at LPS. Now I coordinate technology training and resources and share in much of the project work of our department. I work with an amazing group of people that excel at providing a very rich set of resources, applications and services for the staff and students of LPS.
