Profile - Melody Jones

I currently teach all levels of painting and drawing. I teach both AP studio portfolio Drawing and 2D Design.

I have taught Pottery, Jewerly, Photography, Intro to 2D art, Intro to 3D art, and Sculpture at LSE.

I have taught at summer camps, did elementry gifted mentoring and private lessons.

I was born and raised in Lincoln. I'm the youngest of four girls. We all graduated from LSE. I played volleyball, basketball and track at LSE. I played two years of basketball at KSC. I gave up basketball to fiinish my degree in a timely manner.

I got married in college. We had our daughter in Kearney before we moved to Lincoln breifely. We setteled in Grand Island where our son was born. We lived there for approx. eight years. I did a lot of substitute teaching as well as working in retail and catering. In 1997 we moved back to Lincoln. Where are kids grew up. They graduated from LSW and went to college.

Our daughter lives in Brookly, NY and works in Manhattan.

Our son and his wife live in Lincoln and have three children.

I am LSE high school graduate

I graduated from KSC, now UNK, with a B.S. in

Art Education with a K-12 endourcement

I grew up in LIncoln went to college in Kearney lived in Grand Island for eight years then moved back to Lincoln.

I taught one year at Eastridge Elementry and I'm beginning my 19th yr. at LSE.

I am a member of the NATA/NAEA.
