Patrick is a Lincoln native and attended Eastridge Elementary, Lefler Jr. High, and Lincoln High School. After graduating from Lincoln High he earned a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska. He then went on to earn a Masters in Secondary Teaching, also from UNL.
After graduation from UNL, Patrick taught math and computer programming at Lincoln Southeast High School. He also was the assistant swim coach for two years, and sponsor of the athletic club. He is passionate about athletics and outdoor activities. In 2004, Patrick moved to Thailand and taught math at Redeemer International School, in Bangkok. He has traveled extensively and enjoys learning about different cultures.
In 2006, he returned to Lincoln and accepted a position as a math teacher at Lincoln High School. Currently Patrick teaches Geometry and Higher Level math for the International Baccalaureate program. Along with his teaching responsibilities, Patrick is also the sponsor of the Astronomy club and coaches the math team. He is currently pursuing a doctrate in education from th University of Nebraska - Lincoln in Mathematics Education.
