I am originally from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma where I graduated from high school and then went on to The Univeristy of Oklahoma where I received my degree in Sociology. After that, I started my career teaching 9th grade English in Houston, TX before moving to Albuquerque, NM and then to Omaha, NE. While there, I attended UNL and earned my MEd in Educational Administration. After teaching in Omaha for 2 years, I met my husband and we moved to Memphis, TN where I spent the next 13 years as a high school English teacher and Elementary Assistant Principal.
