I grew up on a farm northeast of Lexington, NE with two older sisters. I have known since childhood that art was a great passion of mine and that it was going to play a major role in my life. After graduating from Lexington High School in 2009, I attended UNL and earned my Bachelors of Fine Arts with an emphasis in printmaking. After college I worked as a special education paraeducator for 3 years in LPS and fell in love with education. That was the point I realized I wanted to be a teacher. I received my Art K-12 teaching certificate from Doane University and am also working towards a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction through Doane. I am absolutely thrilled to be a North Star Navigator!
