The 2024-2025 school year will be my 18th year in public education, and I have worked for both Omaha and Lincoln Public Schools.
My husband Brad and I moved to Lincoln in 2006, and together we have four children. I have served in many roles during my educational career: Home School Liaison, Classroom Teacher (grades 1, 4, 5, 6), Instructional Technology Coach, and Summer School Coordinator. I am both grateful and excited for my role as Gifted Facilitator.
I believe that all students have the right to an education that not only challenges them but also pushes them toward excellence academically, socially, and emotionally. I believe in strong partnerships with parents and staff as we work to recognize and build upon the strengths and talents a child brings to school. Every student should learn something new each day on his/her journey to becoming the best version of themselves.
Please reach out to me with any questions about your child’s gifted education programming. I can provide the LPS Gifted Policy and Program information. I can also advise regarding differentiated classes and curriculum. I will assist and support teachers that are providing differentiated curriculum to both identified gifted students and those students that are determining if the differentiated curriculum is the best fit.
