Hi, I'm Mr. Mapes! I am a teacher at Lincoln High School. I teach Spanish 1/2 compacted, IB Junior Spanish and Conversational Spanish. I am a graduate of  Lincoln Southwest High School, the University of Nebraska - Lincoln with a Bachelors of Science in Education and I am a fluent Spanish speaker. I again graduated from UNL with my Master of Arts in Education in May, 2017. I focused my studies on Literacy, Language and Culture in the department of Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education. I live in Lincoln with my lovely wife, Elie, our daughter, Guinevere (Winnie), our son, Augustine (Auggie), and our sweet kitties, Stella and Fionna. This will be my seventh year at Lincoln High School after teaching for six years in Crete, NE. I love teaching and I am very happy to have you, or your student, in my class!

Hola, soy Sr. Mapes! Soy maestro a la escuela secudaria de Lincoln High. Enseño las clases de español dos, tres y tres/cuatro. Me gradué de la escuela secundaria de Lincoln Southwest, la universidad de Nebraska - Lincoln y hablo espanol con fluencia. Recientemente me gradué la segunda vez de UNL con mi maestro de arte en educación en mayo, 2017. Enfoqué mis estudios en alfabetismo, idioma y cultura en el departamiento de enseñar, aprender y educación de maestros.
