This is my 40th year of teaching, the 20th year at Pound Middle School and the 29th year with LPS. I have also taught in El Paso, Texas; Crete, Nebraska; and Clinton Elementary here in Lincoln. I grew up in southern and western Nebraska graduating from North Platte High School. I attended Doane College in Crete, and it was there that I came to recognize that I wanted to be a teacher. After serving a 4 year obligation in the U.S. Army, I came back to Nebraska where I began my vocation as a teacher. I have taught students from 4th through 8th grades. Although I am certified to teach students from elementary through high school, middle schoolers remain my favorites. I have taught all subjects, science, social studies, English, P.E./health, and math. I have taught vocal music, led a children's choir, coached football, track, volleyball, and basketball, and was even the school's custodian and groundskeeper. Math is my favorite subject to teach, especially algebra.
