As an educator, building relationships with my students and offering them the tools to verbalize their own thoughts and experiences is important to me. I cultivate a classroom of mutual respect, student autonomy, diversity, and cultural development.
I have lived in California, Missouri, and Nebraska but returned to Lincoln after graduation.
Some of my favorite authors include Toni Morrison, James Baldwin, and Caitlín R. Kiernan.
I've worked in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion departments at Northwest Missouri and student taught with Papillion La Vista Public Schools.
I graduated with a degree in English Education and History from Northwest Missouri State University, where I also am recieving my masters degree in Education with a specialty in reading.
