I attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree with a dual major of Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. I then worked in a few local daycares and decided to go back to school full time. I again attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and graduated in 1998 with my Master of Science degree in Preschool Handicap. I began my teaching career at Meadow Lane Elementary School here in Lincoln working in Early Childhood Special Education. After 2 years of teaching there, I moved to Kahoa Elementary School and began the Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) program there. After 5 years of teaching ECSE at Kahoa, the ECSE program was closing so I moved to Pershing Elementary School to teach Kindergarten for 2 years and 3 years at Prescott Elementary in Kindergarten.
I enjoy spending time with my two daughters and my husband. We do many things together including many sporting events such as softball, volleyball and basketball. I have been married to my husband for 15 years and my two girls are 11 years old and 15 years old. In my spare time I enjoy scrapbooking, reading and being with friends and family. I have been a Girl Scout Leader for the past 12 years for both of my daughters' troops.
