About Me

Hey,

I'm the computer teacher so I will be your child's teacher at some time during the week.

I am a born and raised Lincolnite.  I went to Hartley Elementary, Culler Jr. High (that’s what they called it back then) and Lincoln Northeast; class of ’79.  I attended Wayne State College for 1 1/2 years and then transferred back to Nebraska Wesleyan University, where I graduated from in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  I obtained my master’s degree in Special Education with an emphasis on Behavioral Disorders in 1992 from the University of Nebraska.

I have been teaching for 28 years. My first year of teaching was in Bruning, Nebraska. After I got married in 1985, I returned to Lincoln and obtained employment as a para at Pound Middle School.   I have taught at Dawes, and McPhee Elementary Schools.  I’ve been at Kahoa for the past 22 years.

On a personal note, I have been married to, my wife, Lisa, for 30 years. She is an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Nebraska Attorney General’s Office. We have three boys.  Keenan is 26 and graduated from UNL majoring in Biological Sciences in May of 2011. He is a zoo keeper at the San Antonio Zoo in San Antonio Texas.  He works with birds and enjoys it very much.  Morgan is my middle son.  He is 23.  He works for Lanoha Nursery.  He enjoys being outside no matter the weather, and he also likes to bowl and show our 1952 Chevy at car shows.  Cameron is our youngest at 20.  He is starting his sophomore year at Peru State College in Peru Nebraska.  He is majoring in History with a minor in Special Education.    Cam likes to hang out with friends and watch sports on t.v. He also officiates youth baseball, soccer and basketball.

I love all sports, but I’m especially fond of  soccer, football and basketball.  I have coached many different sports at many different levels I am currently helping coach the Elks D team Black.  We as a family like to travel, and we also try to get to the Price family cabin in Colorado each summer.  I like to watch t.v., surf the web (too much my wife says) and listen to music.  Most of my activities revolve around family.

Hopes this gives you a little insight into who I am and what I’m all about.  Thanks for stopping by.

Ron
