About Me

The fall of 2020 will be my first year teaching at LPS. I have wanted to be an educator since I was in third grade!

A little backstory is that my family is from Bosnia and Herzegovina. I was born in Germany and we came as a refugee family to Lincoln, Nebraska when I was a year old. Lincoln has always been a place I consider home. I have a sister who is younger and a dog named Buddy. I love spending time with my family and friends, going on runs, and learning more about how people around the world live.

Furthermore, I grew up volunteering and working with Lincoln Literacy. I would work, teach, and play games/do activities with the children while their parents went to learn English. I have also worked summer camps at the Y. So, I have spent my whole life doing what I am passionate about - which is working with kids. One other thing that I am passionate about is Zumba! I love being active and sharing my love of Zumba with others.

I am looking to forward to this upcoming school year!

Professional Experience

I graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln with a Bachelor's of Science in Education in May of 2020.
