I grew up in Lincoln attending Lincoln Public Schools including the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. I always loved school and learning and came from a long line of teachers so, naturally, I wanted to be an educator too! Being raised by an art teacher, I had a real passion for the arts. I found the opportunity to be creative helped with my learning. I wanted to explore how I could use these skills to help other students learn, be engaged and truly love school. After getting my degree I worked as a preschool teacher, then a third grade teacher and now a kindergarten teacher. I love being in the classroom and participating in the growth and learning of my students. When I am not at school I am home spending time with my husband and son, Miles. I love the arts and traveling but, of course, my favorite is being a teacher!
