My name is Amanda Higgins. This is my sixth year teaching fifth grade at Clinton Elementary school. I started at Clinton in 2014 as a para-educator working in third grade and the recovery room. This was when I realized teaching was my passion and decided to pursue a teaching certificate. I completed my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane University in 2019.
I am married and have 3 children, 2 boys and a girl. I also have 2 cats and 2 dogs. When I am not at school, you can find me spending time with my family, reading books, or spending time outdoors.
In 2009 I graduated from Doane University with a Bachelor's in Organizational Communications.
In 2014 I graduated from Doane University with a Master's in Management and International Business.
In 2017 I completed my Elementary Teaching certificate from Doane University
2015-2017 I worked as a Substitute teacher and para-educator
In 2019 I graduated from Doane University with a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction.
