Philosophy Statement

I believe that every child deserves the best, my best.  It is MY job as a teacher to provide motivation, support, understanding and compassion.  It is MY job to provide an environment where each child feels acceptance, feels capable and feels safe enough to take risks.  I believe that if I do this well, students will be able to concentrate on learning.

To achieve this, I must be calm, motivated and patient.  I must build relationships with students and believe in them even if they “push away” through behavior.  It is my high expectations, influence and support that guide each student to envision themselves as capable, valuable life-long learners.
