Profile - Aaron Mathis

Currently I am the Assistant Instrumental Music Director at Lincoln Southwest High School where I assist with all bands, orchestra, and Jazz band. I am also the Assistant Director for PANgea Steel Drum Band, an all-city steel drum ensemble in LPS.

Prior to joining LPS in 2020, I was the 5-12 Band/7-12 Vocal Music Director at Shelby-Rising City Public Schools in Shelby Nebraska where I taught all aspect of the band program and (almost) all of the choir program. I also assisted in directing the middle school musical and was an assistant coach for middle school track.

In my spare time, I love to run, cook, garden, play games (board games, card games, video games), write and play music for percussion instruments, and spend time with my family and friends
