Hello!
My name is Andrea (Annie) McKeighan, and I am so happy you're here! I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with my degree in Elementary Education in 2015. I taught 5th grade for three years at Belmont before switching to 4th grade as the team leader.
I have found that there is no greater privilege than getting to help mold childen into who they want to be. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in elementary school with my greatest influences being my 5th grade teacher and principal. They saw my talents and strengths before I did and paved the way for me to use them. Being able to serve children in a similar way brings me copious amounts of fulfillment and joy.
In addition to teaching, I love to paint and work on art projects. You can also find me playing with puppies, reading by the pool, and working on my next big idea!
"Children are not a distraction from more important work. They are the most important work."
