I was born in Chicago, IL and grew up in Manhattan, KS. I came to Nebraska for college and received a degree in psychology in 2005.  After college I worked in the nonprofit field at Creighton University and the University of Nebraska Foundation.  In 2014, I decided to follow my passion for children and learning and went back to school to get my teaching degree. I taught 4th grade for six years at Rousseau Elementary School, and I'm so excited to join the Cavett staff and the 5th grade team!

My husband, Eric, and I have two sons, Jarett and Hazen.  In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, and listening to music.
