My name is Alex Rogers and I am the orchestra teacher at Moore Middle School and Wysong Elementary.

I have been an orchestra teacher for Lincoln Public schools since 2017. My first year of teaching I taught at 6 different schools. I started out as a part time teacher but was eventually bumped up to a full time teaching position. I now teach at SAIL camp every summer as well.

I teach a very small private violin studio on the side. My students have auditioned and been accepted into groups such as YES orchestra, JYO, and the Lincoln Youth Symphony. When I have the time, I perform freelance violin gigs and I perform as the concertmaster for the Lincoln Civic Orchestra. I have also performed with the Hastings Symphony Orchestra.

My teaching style is compassionate, open hearted, and relaxed. My primary goal as a teacher is to create a safe and positive environment for all students to work together toward the goal of creating fun musical experiences while holding high expectations along the way.
