I have taught 8th Grade American History in LPS since 2011.  In 2014, I completed my Master's degree at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Historical Studies.  I continue to attend conferences to learn more about the craft of teaching.  I was honored to present at the National Council for Social Studies Conference in 2018 integrating my other passion, music, with American History.

My first education professor in my undergraduate said something that I continue to live by: "The greatest thing you can do on Earth is to add value to other people."--Dr. Gene Armstrong.  This is what I try to do while teaching the awesome Historical Habits of Mind skills to my students!
