¡Bienvenidos! My name is Sra. Shuster and I began my journey as a Spanish teacher with Lincoln Southeast for the 2019-2020 school year. I graduated from UNL in 2011 with my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Latin American Studies. I studied abroad in 2010 in Toledo, Spain and have traveled extensively throughout Spain, Puerto Rico and Guatemala over the years. In 2017, I decided to return to school at UNK to complete my Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction and obtain my Teaching Certification to become a Spanish teacher, graduating in May of 2019.

I am from Lincoln, Nebraska growing up in the Calvert Elementary and East High School neighborhoods. I have worked a variety of positions as an AmeriCorps VISTA with LPS Federal Programs, ELL teaching volunteer, as well as case manager with Head Start at Community Action Partnership, Juvenile Diversion, and Sixpence Program with Papillion-La Vista Community Schools. These experiences have allowed me to learn more about Lincoln and the resources available to families, utilize my Spanish as a Bilingual Case Manager as well as work with a variety of families within the community. I am excited to be at LSE!
