Growing up in the Havelock area in Lincoln, I attended Norwood Park Elementary, Mickle Middle School, and Northeast High School.  I am married to my wonderful husband Kelly.  I have a son Shea who will be an tenth grader, and a son Cooper who will be an eighth grader.  They attend Norris Middle School and Norris High School.  We live south of Sprague on an acerage with a Beagle named Wrigley, a tree walker coon hound/Beagle mix named Jack that we just recently rescued, six chickens, and three cats.

I taught my first two years at Fontenelle Elementary in North Omaha as a resource/CADRE teacher.  I received my Master's degree through the CADRE project attending UNO.  After teaching in Omaha Public Schools for two years, I returned to my old stomping grounds in Lincoln Public Schools and I have been at Fredstrom for the past 21 years!  I began teaching at Fredstrom as a resource teacher and later switched to second grade where I currently teach on Team 2 with my colleagues Mr. Seip, Mrs. Becker, Mrs. Gildersleeve and Ms.Langen.  I have enjoyed working with the teachers, staff and administration and feel very lucky to be in such a great school with supportive families.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy being with my family, attending my boys sporting events for baseball, wrestling and football, gardening, riding our four wheeler, stamping and scrapbooking, learning new ways to integrate technology and ipads in my classroom and being involved with activities in my boys' school.
