About Me

I grew up in Lincoln and went to Fredstrom Elementary School, Goodrich Middle School, and Lincoln High School.  Before college, I took a few years and participated in an AmeriCorps funded program called City Year.  I moved with only two suitcases and ran an after school reading and service learning program for fourth grade students in San Jose, California.  It was there that I learned that I loved teaching.  The next year I moved across the country and was a supervisor for the same program in Harlem, New York.

I’ve lived in Lincoln most of my life, and I’m happy to be a part of the team at Riley Elementary School.  While finishing up my library endorsement, I spent the past year back in 5th grade at Campbell Elementary. Before that, I was an Instructional Technology Coach at Hill and Prescott Elementary for two years before the position was eliminated. Prior to that I taught 5th grade at Pyrtle for two years and 4th grade at Pershing for three years.  When I’m not working you can find me riding my bike, cooking, working on my house, or playing with my dog, K.D.

Do not hesitate to email me any questions or concerns that you might have this year.  I am so happy to have you working with me this year.
