Hello!
My name is Brittany Lanik (lawn-ik) and I am a graduate of Wayne State College. I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. This will be my fourth year teaching kindergarten at Brownell.
I lived in the same small house in York, Nebraska, with my parents, sister, and brother, until the day I moved out for college to begin my journey as a teacher. I moved to Lincoln in December of 2015 to student teach, 3rd grade at Cavett Elementary.
This past summer has been a much needed time for rest, adventure, and of course lesson planning. My husband, Matt and I celebrated our one year anniversary in June. We celebrated by seeing Carrie Underwood in concert at Pinnacle Bank Arena. We have a cat a named Archie and like to joke that he’s our child (no human children yet!) Matt and I enjoy watching movies and spending time with our six nephews (Brooks, Griffey, Gehrig, Mateo, Pedro, and Bryan).
Parents are the first and foremost teachers in their child’s life. I’m excited to team with you to develop your child into a life-long learner. If you have any questions or concerns as we go through the year, I would love to answer them or find the answer for you. Please feel free to email me at blanik@lps.org or call me at school 436-1127.
Sincerely,
Brittany Lanik
