Schedules

My office is located in room 123 of the main building.  It is directly across the hall from the door to the cafeteria.  I have 2 plan periods during the school day. They are periods 6 & 7.  During this time, I am available to take phone calls, meet with students, help with schedule changes or hold IEP’s. Feel free to contact me either by phone or email.

I started my educational journey as a speech pathology major and quickly learned that I wanted more contact with families and children.  I had to volunteer for a class in college and decided on trying Lincoln Park and Recreation out in their Adaptive club programs. Out of the gate I felt at home and as though I had a purpose!  I switched my major to special education later that school year.

My husband Tony and I have adopted 4 siblings, and currently have their biological sister placed with us in foster care.  Two boys, and three girls ages 13,12,11,9, & 22 months. We also have a client named Andrew who lives with us who is 32 years old with Autism.  We have 3 dogs, & 2 cats. Our home is busy and crazy, but we love it!

Professional Experience

This is my 20th year of teaching at Lincoln High. During my first several years at Lincoln High I was actually located off campus as part of the VOICE program.  The VOICE program is a program for students who are 18-21 who have finished their school credits but are in some need of vocational skills.  I have a wide variety of skills and interest within the area if Special Education. I hold endorsements in mild/moderate disabilities, behavior disorders as well as transition.
