About Me

My name is Callie Keller.  I have been a teacher at Lincoln Public Schools for 23 years.  I've known I wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl and use to play school with the neighborhood kids.  I loved writing on the chalkboard while we were playing school!  I began my teaching career at Elliott Elementary as a Special Education Teacher who worked with scholars with behavior and mental health issues.  I was at Elliott for 11 years.  I have been at McPhee since I left Elliott.  At McPhee I teach Reading Recovery and Interventions.  I love teaching scholars how to read.  I also enjoy working with teachers on different ways to help scholars who struggle with reading.

I graduated from Doane University in 1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education.  Doane University is a small college and I enjoy learning that I went back for my Master’s.  I graduated from Doane University in 2005 with my Master’s in Educational Leadership.
