I grew up in Fremont, Nebraska with my parents and my sister.  In 2001, I graduated from Fremont High School.

I went to college at Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education K-6 with an Endorsement in ELL.

For two years, I taught 5th grade at Dodge Elementary in Grand Island, Nebraska.  In 2008, I moved to Lincoln. I taught third grade for ten wonderful years at Clinton Elementary School. I joined the amazing Culler Middle School staff in 2018!

My husband Mike and I are high school sweethearts and we have been married since 2011.  In the fall of 2012, We got our first dog, Isis (the Egyptian goddess). On October 8, 2016, our daughter Eliana (Ellie) Joy was born.
