This will be my 6th year of teaching. I have always taught at the middle school level and I absolutely love this age group. I started my teaching career at Mickle Middle School (3 years) and then started at Goodrich (going on 3 years.) I couldn't imagine doing anything besides teaching. It is a challenge to reach all students at their level and push them to the next level. I enjoy trying new ways of teaching and engaging my students, and hope they leave my classroom each day with a sense of accomplishment and desire to know more. I also enjoy connecting with parents. After school I spend time with my two daughters and continue my education to grow in my profession. My two daughters are Catrice (6 years old) and Addison (5 years old.) We have the best time at the lake, exploring nature, and playing board games. There is always something interesting happening in our house, and someday I should really write a book:). As for education, I still go to school. I don't know if I will ever stop taking classes. I love learning new things and being challenged in my beliefs as an educator. I hope to instill this love of education in my children and my students too.
