My teaching career officially began in 2002 at Hawthorne Elementary where I spent one year doing math and literacy support. The very next year I got my own classroom; a third grade class at Hartley Elementary. I enjoyed teaching 3rd and 4th grade there, and eventually made the transition to instructional coaching. After three years of learning and growing as a coach, I decided it was time for me to follow my heart and move back into the classroom. This led me to Cavett, where I now teach 5th grade.
I graduated from UNO in 2001 with a degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in reading. More recently, I gained a Master's Degree in HIstorical Studies from Wesleyan.
