I am originally from Kansas, where I taught for 9 years in a variety of special education settings. I transplanted to Lincoln, Nebraska in 2005. I have been in middle school special education until 2016.

In 2016, I became the Media Specialist, Computer Science Specialist and Gifted Facilitator at Pershing Elementary School. I will have blended classes in K-2 and teach Media skills and Computer Skills to 3-5th graders.

In 2022, I moved to the Humann Elementary Library as full time Librarian.

I am a mother of 14 year old and step mom to a 27 year old. My husband and I have been married 21 years. We love cycling on the City of Lincoln's trails and long distance rides. At 6 years old, my daughter rode in the 20 mile Kool-Aid Days Ride in Hastings. This last summer (2022) I rode in our annual 47 mile bike ride aka 'Calamus 1/2 Century' and had an accident at mile 42. Skinned my shin and got a pretty deep wound just under my knee. It has slowly been healing.

I love participating in the Golden Sower Selection committee for the state and the MOSAIC review committe for LPS.
