My name is Denyse Hunsaker and I am a 5th grade teacher at Zeman Elementary School.  I was born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada and came to the United States on a track and field scholarship at Nebraska Wesleyan University where I obtained my Elementary Teaching Degree. In 2013, I returned to Nebraska Wesleyan and earned my Masters of Historical Studies. I have taught at a number of schools in Lincoln. They include Saint Johns, Holmes, Brownell, and Zeman Elementary in a variety of grades from Grade 2 to 8 and even Physical Education. My husband, Bill, is an Internal Auditor with Union Bank and Trust. We have two children Kate and Reid. Kate graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Finance and works at 1st Bank in Denver, Colorado. My son, Reid, graduated from UNL and is pursing his teaching degree from Doane University. We have one pet, a black lab, named Sophia.  I love to bike,camp,and garden.
