I was born in Kansas, grew up in Iowa and then married a Nebraskan.  We've been married for 40 years and we have 3 sons, 1 daughter, 2 grandsons, and one 1 granddaughter. From the time I was in 3rd grade, I knew I wanted to be some kind of a teacher. I love to work with students and see the spark that happens when they catch on to a difficult concept. I don't give up on students, but see the possibilities in each one and work to help them achieve their best.

Professional Experience

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Wichita State University and a Master's Degree in Special Education from the University of Nebraska Kearney. I've taught music or special education for more than 20 years, beginning in Kansas and in 6 other locations in Nebraska. I love teaching and have never met a student that didn't make me smile!
