Professional Experience
I graduated from Cambridge High School in 2002. In 2007, I received bachelor's degrees in English and Communication as well as my 6-12 teaching endorsement from Nebraska Wesleyan University. After my undergrad, I worked as a Match Support Specialist at Heartland Big Brothers Big Sisters in Lincoln, NE before I because Youth, Teen, and Family Director at the Northeast YMCA. In 2009, I was part of the first set of teachers at Schoo Middle School and have been here ever since. While teaching, I earned my master's degree in Currculum and Instruction from Doane College (now Doane University) in 2011.
Since 2009, I have taught Language/Communication Arts (then rebranded to be called Contemporary Communications) class here at Schoo. In 2011, I became Schoo's activites director and held that position until I stepped down in 2017. In 2013, I took over the Publications class.
