About Me

I received my elementary education BA degree and my special education BA degree (K-12) from the Univeristy of NE at Kearney in May of 1994. My first teaching job was teaching special education in Nebraska City, Nebraska for 3 years. Then I moved to Lincoln, Nebraska and began substituting. I was a substitute for Lincoln Public Schools for 2 years. During my substitute years, I taught all various grade levels including elementary, middle school, and high school experiences. Next, I was hired to teach as an upper elementary resource teacher at Elliott Elementary School. I taught at Elliott Elementary for four years. One of those years, I taught 5th grade as a classroom teacher. Next, I transfered to Everett Elementary and became a fourth grade teacher. I taught 4th grade at Everett for 10 years. In May of 2010, I graduated with my Masters degreee in Historical Studies from Wesleyan University. I currently teach 3rd grade at Everett. (2014-15) (2020-21)

Besides being a teacher, I am a mother. I have one 9 year old son, named Bryce, who is a fourth grader. Also, I have one daughter, named Elaina, who is 5 years old and a kindergartener. Ever since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to be a teacher. Mr. Wells, my 5th grade teacher, was someone who inspired me to become who I am today.
