I am one of a family of nine! My father was retired from the Navy and my mother was a very hard working housewife. I grew up in a very wonderful household, with parents that were devoted, caring, and loving. My parents would always say, "We just ask you to be respectful." With this as an embeded philosophy for life and work, I try to practice their words of wisdom. I was born in San Diego, California however lived most of my life in Nebraska.
I have been in the District of Lincoln Public Schools since 1999. I started my journey in education in Indianapolis, Indiana while teaching Religious Education in a First Grade Class at Good Shepherd Catholic. I obtained a dual undergraduate degree in Spanish Literature & Culture, and Elementary Education. I have a Masters Degree in Theology and furthered my education with a Masters Degree in History.
I started working for LPS at Hawthorne Elementary and taught 4th Grade. I moved to Hartley Elementary in 2008 and joined the family of Cavett in 2011.
