About Me

Professional Experience

I graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Music Education.  Then, I went to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and got my Masters degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Behavior Disorders in 2001.  I went back to school to get my Masters in Educational Leadership from Doane College in 2008.  I received my certificate as a K-3 Math Specialist from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, through the Primarily Math Program, in 2012.

I have experience in a variety of schools and positions.  I started my career in 2001 in Minneapolis, Minnesota as a teacher of students with Behavior Disorders.  I came back to Lincoln and worked as a Resource Teacher at Elliott Elementary School from 2003 - 2008.  I was at Fredstrom Elememtary School from 2008 - 2009 as a resource teacher.  I then became a district level Math Coach from 2009 - 2011.  I was a building level Instructional Coach at Calvert and Prescott from 2011 - 2012.  I started teaching again in 2012 at Belmont and really enjoy my position as a resource teacher.
