Hello! My name is Emily Vesely and this is my fifth year teaching at North Star! I am excited to work with all of you. My path to teaching chemistry has been a windy road and I bring in lots of experience from difference fields of science. Chemistry is a difficult, but fun and interesting topic and I hope you find it as amazing as I do. I grew up right here in Lincoln, Nebraska. I have two undergraduate degrees, Equine Science and Microbiology, from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. After finishing my degrees I returned to Nebraska and pursued a Master's in Teacher Learning and Teacher Education and a teaching certificate in Natural Sciences (7th-12th grade) from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln. This career has allowed me to combine my passion for teaching and science and share it with others. I am the proud mother of two adorable crazy kids, Emmet and Josey, that keep me on my toes and the wife to an amazing man, Jeremy. I love to share funny stories of my family, I am sure you will hear many.
