I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln getting my teaching certificate in secondary special education. I did my student teaching at Pound Middle School.
I began my teacher career as a secondary special educator in Millard Public Schools at Anderson Middle School. I taught 7th and 8th grade, having the honor of co-teaching Social Studies with my sister there. At the close of that year I moved back to Lincoln to get married and was fortunate to get a job at Pound teaching 8th grade special education.
After two years there, I transferred to Scott Middle School where I taught 7th and 8th grade special education. I stayed at that position for 9 years until receiving my Masters degree in Library Science from the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
I have since enjoyed 6 years as school librarian here at Cavett. I love my job so much! I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, teaching, computers, mobile devices, research and all kinds of library related activities. These last six years have been a dream come true for me.
