Hello! I was born and raised in Grand Island, Nebraska. I've been surrounded by educators my entire life! I can't think of a better group of people to have support and guide me as I discovered who I was and wanted to be! After graduating from Grand Island Northwest High School, I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  I have taught at the following schools and levels:

Lincoln Public Schools - Beattie Elementary (1998-2001)

Columbus Public Schools- Emerson Elementary (2001-2006)

Eudora, KS - Eudora Elementary (2007-2013)

Lincoln Public Schools - Belmont Elementary (2013-2014)

Lincoln Public Schools - Fredstrom (2014 - 2016)

Lincoln Public Schools - Humann Elementary (2016-2021)

Lincoln Public Schools - Maxey Elementary (2021- present)

Elementary Computer Science classrooms are active places that encourage exploration, creativity, collaboration, communication, persistence, and problem solving. We want to spark students’ curiosity about what can be created with various technology tools. We help students learn appropriate online behaviors to stay safe while using technology. I often post updates on my Mrs. Traudt Facebook page of our latest adventures at Maxey. https://www.facebook.com/mrs.traudt
