I grew up in a rural town in northeast Nebraska. I have always enjoyed working with children and felt I could make connections with them easily. However, when I first started college, I didn't have plans of becoming a teacher. My experiences as a nanny in upstate New York and working with adults with developmental disabilities eventually inspired me to major in education. I have no doubt that this is where I am supposed to be in life.
My husband, Tim, and I returned to Nebraska from Colorado in July of 2016. We have a daughter named Elliana.
Professional Experience
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education/ Special Education from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. I taught for four years in Colorado prior to returning to my homestate of Nebraska. This is my twelveth year of teaching and my eighth year at Zeman Elementary. I am so grateful to work with the wonderful families and staff here in the Zeman community.
