I am excited to meet you and your family.  My name is Mr. Codr. I have been a professional artist for the last 20 + years.  ( If you would like to view some of my work you can see it here: https://www.behance.net/jcodr ) Although I enjoyed designing, photographing, and creating professionally; I found my true calling while teaching digital graphic design at the college level for 8 years also.

I am thrilled to be joining the North Star community this year teaching digital art, photography, and beginning drawing. My goal is to have students enjoy art and find out how it can fit into their everyday life.  I believe art in high school is vital and can be a springboard for students professional life.  There are many careers that require a person to be creative, think outside the box, and develop creative solutions.  All of which will be infused into daily lessons and projects.  I love being able to share my passion and love of art and can’t wait to get to know my new students at North Star.

In my freetime you will find me creating something, somewhere, whether it is cooking in the kitchen, building in the garage, reading about technology, or trying to theorize how to best grow our garden veggies, I am always trying to figure something out and usually with one if not all three of my own children right there alongside of me. I am constantly learning, and investigating just about everything and try to pass on this energy to those around me.
