I have been teaching in Lincoln Public Schools for 13 years.  I have taught kindergarten (5 years), first grade (1 year), and second grade (7 years).  In my free time, I love to travel.  My husband, Derek, and I try to travel internationally once a year.  We love learning about new cultures, languages, foods, and more.  I also enjoy reading at coffee shops and going for walks in the neighborhood.
My family is very important to me.  I grew up here in Lincoln and went to Pius High School.  I went on to earn my B.A. and M.A. at UNL.  I was blessed to have my family's support along the way.  :)  Derek and I will have been married 12 years this March.  We have a beautiful little girl, Violet, who is 8 years old and a sweet little boy, Myles, who is 6.  We still get together for supper every Sunday with my immediate family.
