I have spent my career in early childhood. I shifted from working in daycares with mostly typically developing students to special education when I decided to earn my teaching certificate. I enjoy the problem solving of identifying how to best reach each student.
I have two daughters. Maggie is in 7th grade at Mickle and Philomena is in 9th grade at Lincoln High.
Professional Experience
May 2015, I graduated from UNL with my MA in Early Childhood Special Education. 2015-2018, I was an ECSE Home and Community-based Teacher. 2018 to 2023, I worked as a Preschool Special Education Teacher at Kooser Elementary. I started at Huntington in August 2023.
