About Me

7:45 am - 8:00 am Breakfast Supervision

8:00 am - 3:15 pm  SEM desk

I am from Canada.  Our family moved to Lincoln in the summer of 1996.  I have two boys, ages 26, and 30.  The 26 year old, Scott went here to Cavett from 1996 - 2001.

I started my career with LPS at West Lincoln Elementry School in 2000, as a Sped Para..I switched to Cavett in the fall of 2001.  I started as the Library Para.  I was in that postition for 7 years.  The last 3 of those sharing my time in Production, before copies started being printed at the District Office.  In 2008, I changed to SEM Para.  After a year of  doing that full time,  I  missed working directly with the students. I switched to half days SEM and  half days Speical Ed.. I am enjoying working here.  It is nice meeting the parents and working with their children.  Knowing both the parents and students brings a different perspective to my job.   The students, staff, and parents here at Cavett are great.

Professional Experience

I graduated from L. V. Rogers High School in Nelson, BC, Canada.

I have an associate degree from Lethbridge Community College (Go Kodiaks) in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

My degree is in Human Services.  After I finished my degree, I got a job working in a group home in Edmonton, Alberta, where I met my husband and lived for 14 years before moving to Lincoln.  Once my boys were in school, I went back to work as a teachers aide for Edmonton Public Schools..

After we moved here, I got a work Visa and started to work at LPS in December, 1999.
