About Me

Everything is about science, EVERYTHING!!

I come from a small town in south central Nebraska called Franklin, population 1000 where I spent the first seventeen years of my life. I graduated in 1987 with the same 25 kids that I started kindergarten with. I went to Kearney State college starting in 1987. I was married to Scott Jantz in 1989 and we have four kids, Seth 20, Clair 11, Lydia 8, and Samuel 5. We moved to Lincoln in 1996 when I was hired to teach 8th grade science at Goodrich Middle school. Since I arrived at Goodrich I have taught, 8th grade science, 9th grade biology, physical science, earth science, and several other 9th grade science classes. I am currently teaching 7th grade science and have done so for the last 4 years.  During this time I have also taught for the college of St. Mary’s weekend program. In my free time I garden, read, and hang out with my kids. Weekends find me at school for a few hours and shuttling my children to and fro.
