Growing up in a family of educators, I knew I always wanted to be a teacher. My older sister and I spent many hours in our playhouse "playing school". I began my educational career as an English teacher, and after 13 years in the classroom, I switched roles and became a school counselor. While I treasured my time in the classroom teaching, my true passion is impacting students as a school counselor.
