Hi! My name is Jodi Morgan. I am a hearing impaired resource teacher here at Prescott School. My joy for working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing started later in my career. I started off as a elementary teacher working on a child psych unit. I always knew I wanted to go back to school and get my masters degree but I didn't know what I wanted to specialize in. For fun one summer, I took a sign language class at Southeast Community College. It was then that I knew that I wanted to get my Masters in Deaf Education. I earned my masters degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
I have lived in Lincoln most of my life. I attended Calvert, Pound, and Southeast High School. I love living in Lincoln. Most of my family lives here or is close by. I started working for Lincoln Public School in August 2006. During my first two years with the district I was an intinerant teacher traveling around Lincoln working with deaf & hard of hearing students in grades K-12. It was in 2007 when I started here at Prescott. I have continued my interest in working with students with sensory issues to include deafblind students. I serve on the DeafBlind Team working with students across the district who have a dual sensory loss.
