I grew up just outside of Lincoln in Denton, Nebraska and graduated from Crete High School. I have six children and spend most of my time outside of the classroom with my family. We enjoy going to movies, challenging ourselves with escape rooms, and the occasional concert.
Prior to entering into education, I spent a few years in the Navy. I enlisted shortly after graduating high school and was an Information Systems Technician (think computer networking). I retired from the Navy after twenty years and began my journey to the classroom.
I have been fortunate enough to visit a large number of locations around the world and even lived in Naples, Italy for three years. Traveling remains one of my greatest enjoyments. Being able to experience new cultures and meet new people is something that I believe has really made me into the person that I am today.

Graduated in 2018 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with distinction in Secondary Education, an endorsement in Coaching and a minor in History.
