I graduated from Hastings College in May 2011 with a degree in chemistry. I wanted to pursue a career in medicine. After college, I worked in a lab called GeneSeek where we did genetic testing on ranch animals. After working there for about two years I was accepted into medical school. I left medical school halfway through my second year because of health reasons. I also realized that becoming a doctor was not what I wanted to do. My family moved back to Lincoln and I started working in education. I worked at Riley Elementary as a paraeducator, and then enrolled at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln to become a teacher. I graduated in August 2017 with endorsements in Biology, Chemistry, and English as a Second Language.
I'm looking forward to working and meeting all of you!
