My name is Jamie Swartz.  I am the Speech Language Pathologist.  I have been a Speech Language Patholgoist with Lincoln Public Schools for 22 years.  I have worked in various elementary, middle, and high schools.  I received my undergraduate and graduate degress from the Univerisity of Nebraska-Lincoln.

I work with students who have Speech Language Impairments in the areas of:

Speech Disorders

• Articulation - the way we say our speech sounds

• Phonology - the speech patterns we use

• Apraxia - difficulty planning and coordinating the movements needed to make speech sounds

• Fluency - stuttering

• Voice - problems with the way the voice sounds, such as hoarseness

Language Disorders

• Receptive Language - difficulty understanding language

• Expressive Language - difficulty using language

• Pragmatic Language - social communication
